Architectural Grasses Duo

Ornamental grasses are a staple of every herbaceous border, naturalistic planting scheme or sensory garden. Bringing texture and movement, they associate beautifully with other perennials and create a sense of calm as they sway gently in the breeze. These two deciduous grasses are particularly useful for late summer and autumn colour, their slender foliage and architectural flowers spikes providing superb interest that persists long into autumn.

Architectural Grasses Duo contains:

• Molinia caerulea ssp. arundinacea ‘Mostenveld’ – an eye-catching variegated moor grass forming a neat tussock of cream and green striped leaves, which turn gold in autumn. Tall, slender flower spikes topped with silvery-purple blooms sway and shimmer in the summer breeze. Height: 120cm (48″). Spread: 60cm (24″).
• Miscanthus sinensis ‘Ruby Cute’ – an arching grass at its best in autumn, when the slender green leaves turn bright ruby red. In late summer a feathery display of silvery flower heads appears above the foliage. Reliable and easy to grow, this beautiful deciduous grass is equally attractive in containers, where its foliage will spill gracefully over the edges. Height and spread: 40cm (16″).
