Bergenia Cordifolia

This vigorous evergreen perennial is an old fashioned garden favourite. Its large glossy leaves have wavy edges, forming neat clumps of foliage, often tinged purple in winter. From early spring, Bergenia cordifolia carries bell shaped flowers that vary from pale pink to dark rose. Commonly known as Elephant Ears, this hardy perennial is undemanding, thriving in most garden conditions with virtually no maintenance. Bergenia is ideal for creating dense ground cover, and planting in large clumps at the front of borders. Height: 25cm (10″). Spread: 30cm (12″).
