Callitriche Stagnalis (Oxygenating Aquatic)

Oxygenators are essential for a healthy pond! Calltriche stagnalis is one of the few submerged oxygenators that remain active throughout the autumn and winter months. This valuable British native forms rosettes of small floating and submerged leaves, offering cover for insects and other wildlife – Goldfish will enjoy snacking on the young leaves too!

Commonly known as Water Starwort, this hardy perennial thrives equally well when creeping over waterlogged soil or submerged in still or flowing water. Where water is fast flowing it tends to keep its leaves below the surface. Height: 2cm (1″). Spread: 60cm (24″). Planting depth: Zones 2, 3 & 4 to 100cm below water level.
