Both the leaves and the flowers of Hellebore ‘Silver Dollar’ offer plenty of interest to the garden. Bursting into bloom in late winter with generous clusters of large, rounded flowers in a zingy shade of green, flushed with a rosy-pink tinge on the outer petals, while the anthers in the centre provide a bright spark of lemon yellow. Raised above a neat mound of silver-green serrated foliage on purple stems, the entire plant is fantastic colour hit with a pretty frosted appearance. For the rest of the year, the evergreen leaves provide a contrasting silver tone to planting schemes. Ideal for a woodland area, this much-loved hellebore variety looks idyllic planted under the dappled shade of trees and shrubs, but it’s just as happy in a sunny border and compact enough for patio containers too. Early-emerging bumblebees love the nectar-rich blooms. Height: 35cm (14″). Spread: 35cm (14″).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
