This hardy, deciduous shrub is one of the last to break bud in spring – but well worth the wait! Exotic looking, sky blue flowers smother the dark three-lobed foliage in late summer and autumn, when many other blooms have faded. Hibiscus syriacus ‘Azurri’ will thrive on most soils but is particularly useful for tricky alkaline conditions. Rose Mallow requires little maintenance but enjoys a long, hot summer to produce the most stunning hibiscus flowers. Height: 3m (10′). Spread: 2m (6′,5″).
Culinary note: The flowers can be infused to make a mildly citrus flavoured tea. The petals can be cut and added to fruit salads too. For more details about edible flowers click here.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
