The rich violet-purple blooms of Iris ensata sit atop tall stems which rise up from clumps of stiff, upright foliage. Japanese Water Iris are perfect for planting in bog gardens or at the margins of a pond or stream. These hardy perennials are undemanding and easy to grow, making a fabulous summer display.
