A perennial, deciduous grass that produces a dense clump of narrow, green leaves from its strong root growth. Miscanthus sinensis ‘Graziella’ is ideal as a specimen plant or planted as part of an ornamental grasses border. Given its impressive height, it also makes a good windbreak. During August and September plumes of silver-white flowers appear from the top of the plant over a long period. As late autumn approaches the leaves turn a copper colour and slowly fade into winter with the flower heads becoming dry and fluffy. Leave the plant to overwinter as the stems and flower heads provide a spectacle on frosty days. Height: 1.8m (6′). Spread: 9cm (3′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
