Pinus mugo ‘Carsten’s Wintergold’ is extremely slow growing, forming a flattened mound of open branches that remain neat and compact. Green needles in spring and summer turn a beautiful golden-yellow as winter approaches, bringing a glowing splash of colour to the garden during the bleakest months. Tiny, brown cones form in autumn, adding yet more seasonal interest. This superb specimen plant is a must have for the rockery to complement green needled conifers. Its dwarf habit also majkes it an excellent container plant for the patio or balcony. Height and spread: 60cm (2′).
These standard plants are supplied as clear stemmed standards with lollipop heads.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
