Portuguese Laurel hedging, Prunus Lusitanica Angustifolia Trough Hedge is an instant hedging product that provides a ready to plant hedge due to its fast growth rate. Its polished dark green leaves are a stunning asset to any garden or outdoor space and add lovely contrast when held on reddish faded stems which deepen in colour with age. Portuguese Laurel is naturally cold resistant and does best when planted on shallow chalk soils. Be aware though – this type of hedge must be trimmed regularly for it not to flower or set fruit, otherwise you won’t get the full pleasure from Portuguese Laurel hedging.
