This dwarf and compact Salvia is an excellent choice for small gardens and narrow borders or for container growing. From late spring until summer, Salvia ‘Blue Queen’ bears dense spikes of small, rich blue flowers with dark purple bracts held above neat rosettes of leaves.
Salvias are invaluable border perennials with many appealing attributes. Successive flower spikes are produced below the first main spike making this an especially long-flowering plant and regular deadheading will prolong the flowering period even more. They add useful vertical accents to borders, breaking up the soft hummocks of other perennials and are equipped with excellent drought tolerance. They are also beneficial to wildlife, attracting plenty of bees and other pollinators. Height & Spread: 40cm (16”).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
