Stachyurus chinensis ‘Celina’ is a hardy, deciduous shrub with arching branches and a spreading habit. From February to April, the long, dangling racemes of pale yellow flowers appear upon its bare branches. Each raceme reaches up to 23cm (9″) in length making a showy display at a time when there is little else in flower. In autumn, the dark green leaves turn to shades of pink, red and orange to give a welcome splash of colour towards the end of the year. This spectacular shrub is hardy and easy to grow, but does require a non-alkaline soil. Height: 2m (6′). Spread: 4m (13′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
